Hi Everyone,
Welcome to Prayers4Lynda — a place to share her journey, celebrate small victories, and stay connected with the love, prayers, and support that carry her every day.
Since her diagnosis with acute myeloid leukemia (AML), life has been a whirlwind of doctor visits, hospital stays, and countless new medical terms. Through it all, Lynda has shown the strength and toughness that define her. She meets each challenge head-on, determined to push forward no matter how hard the days get.
She has been receiving chemotherapy at Bethesda North in Cincinnati while preparing for a bone marrow transplant at the Cleveland Clinic. The transplant was supposed to be the next big step, but because of timing issues with the donor, it was delayed and no new date was set. In the meantime, her doctors have kept her on track with chemotherapy. We thought she would start her third cycle earlier, but her neutrophil counts were too low — now the plan is moving forward again.
The hardest part of all this has been time away from her family and friends, especially her grandchildren, Ellie and Andy. They are her joy and motivation — she lights up whenever she talks about them, and they give her so much strength to keep moving forward. She’s also thrilled to have Rachie back from New York, which has brought her great happiness and joy.
She got a much-needed boost and smile when her Buckeyes beat Texas. With football season just beginning, we’re already excited for the Packers-Lions game in Week 1 and looking forward to watching plenty of games together this fall. Go Pack Go!
Thank you for walking this journey with us. Your prayers, love, and support are what give Lynda the strength to keep moving forward.
